About the Founder & Owner

After 15 years working in other areas of the travel industry, Up Up And Away Travel’s owner, Mike Sanderson, founded his own local travel agency to help clients achieve their travel dreams. 

Mike’s love of travel and assisting others blossomed into the creation of Up Up And Away Travel. Even during Covid-19 and post-pandemic times, Mike offers security and knowledge about travel right now, as well as hope and insights on planning your future travel.

Up Up And Away Travel offers expert booking services to all destinations around the world and takes care of all travel arrangements.  From all-inclusive resorts, finding great airfares and everything in between, Mike and his team ensure the process is smooth and that no detail gets overlooked. 

Mike’s dedicated client care and passion for helping others is similar to his role as a father of his 4 amazing kids. As he says, “my kids are my everything and to be able to show them the world as they grow up is something that excites me very much.” For Mike, being able to do something he loves as his daily career is not to be taken for granted. He is excited about his job as much as his clients are excited about their travel plans.

Having owned insurance and investment businesses, Mike draws on this valuable professional experience and knowledge when it comes to all aspects of overseeing Up Up And Away Travel.

The busy dad of four also ran year-round kids camps in Manitoba and PEI, a passion project that allowed him to pursue his dedication to helping others.

My passion definitely lies in curating bucket list trips and extensive expertise in family travel! My favourite destinations include St Lucia, Barbados, Dubai and Italy!

She brings passion and dedication to her role as a travel consultant. Originally from the U.K she has traveled to some fascinating locations around the world. She has walked along the Po river at sunset in Italy. Visited the Holocaust museum in Berlin, Germany, and ridden through the villages of the Dominican Republic on horseback. Driven from the East coast to the west coast of our beautiful country.
